dc.description.abstractFrom a hexane extract of avocado pulp (Persea americana Mill.), an 1:3 mixture of 2-(heptadec-16- enyl)- and 2-(heptadec-16-ynyl)-4-hydroxy-tetrahydrofurans was characterized by NMR techniques. These compounds have not been previously reported from natural sources.
