| dc.description.abstract | espanolSe utilizaron ratas Wistar machos y hembras para evaluar lOS efectos del afrecho de trigo sobre las concentraciones sericas de trigliceridos (TG), colesterol total (CT), colesterol de la LDL (CLDL) y de la HDL (CHDL). Se distribuyeron aleatoriamente en 4 grupos: dos grupos testigo (control 1: ratas machos y control 2: ratas hembras) y grupo 3 (machos) y 4 (hembras). El lapso de estudio se dividio en dos periodos: periodos de acondicionamiento (10 dias) y periodo experimental (45 dias). Durante el periodo experimental los grupos controles recibieron dieta normocalorica y los tratados una dieta hipercalorica, hipergrasa, hipoproteica e hipoglucidica, suplementada con 25 g de afrecho de trigo por 100 g de muestra. Cada 15 dias se les determino los lipidos sericos. Los resultados muestran que el afrecho de trigo indujo reduccion de los TO sericos en las ratas hembras (p EnglishThree months old Wistar rats males and females were selected to evaluate wheat bran effects on the triglycerid es (TO), total cholesterol (TC), LDL cholesterol (LDLC), and HDL cholesterol (HDLC) seric levels. The animals were randomly separated in four groups: two control groups (Control 1 male rats and Control 2 female rats), and two tested groups (Group 3 male rats and Group 4 female rats). Two periods were considered to perform the study: a conditioning period (10 days) and an experimental period (45 days). Through the experimental period, the control group rats r eceived a normal calorie diet, and the tested group rats were given a hypercaloric, hyperlipidic, hypoproteic, hypoglucidic diet supplemented with 25 g of wheat bran per 100 g of food samples.
