dc.description.abstractThis article discusses issues related to university management in the Information Society, the powers that the Venezuelan university should be taken into account in responding to the challenges imposed by the Information Society. In this scenario, one of the priorities of the agenda of Venezuelan university management is to deploy technology in administrative, academic, research and extension in the service, welfare, harmony and achievement of objectives of the people who make the university and citizenship. As a final thought it is stressed that the modernization of curricula-based programs in addition to the management of these values and competencies (techno-scientific-ethical) are used to respond to the new environment, media, languages and symbols.
