To arrive at the considerations on the essential ends of the Venezuelan State, it is necessary to start from the general ideas on the subject of the generic aims of every State conformed and recognized by the International Society through constitutionalism. The investigation was carried out following the documentary design, carrying out a study of the constitutional norm and the effective scope of the State’s purposes with the purpose of verifying if such ends are adjusted to the Venezuelan reality, framing a new definition of the State as a Democratic, Social State, Rule of Law and Justice, in which citizens are guaranteed access to the elements considered fundamental to have a decent life.
