| dc.description.abstract | Para marzo de 2020, Venezuela se unio a las estadisticas mundiales de COVID-19 y aunque las cifras de contagios, muertes y pacientes recuperados parecen mantenerse en un margen relativamente bajo, los problemas de la ciudadania venezolana estarian avocados a la sobrevivencia durante el periodo de distanciamiento social debido a la condiciones actuales del pais, en el que organismos internacionales han senalado la existencia de inseguridad alimentaria y le han incluido en sus programas de asistencia alimentaria. Bajo un panorama tan complejo, este articulo de revision pretende abordar la relacion COVID-19 y nutricion; asi como presentar algunas de las recomendaciones emitidas por organismos internacionales y adaptarlas a la realidad venezolana. Se empleo una revision documental con los descriptores alimentacion, nutricion, COVID-19; nuevo coronavirus, inseguridad alimentaria, Venezuela. Se empleo combinacion de indicadores boleanos para hacer mas eficaz la pesquisa. Una vez obtenida la informacion esta fue analizada y plasmada en diferentes secciones de este articulo. Se concluye que ante la inseguridad alimentaria que se padece en Venezuela y la llegada del COVID-19, es urgente, la atencion nutricional a traves de la creacion de nuevas estrategias como comedores populares, aumento de la periodicidad y cantidad de la ayuda alimentaria nacional, entrega de suplementos nutricionales a poblacion vulnerable o en riesgo nutricional, entre otras acciones que podrian evitar un repunte de la desnutricion en el pais. In March 2020, Venezuela joined to the international statistics of COVID-19 and although the numbers of infected people and deaths seems to be low, the problems of the Venezuelan citizens go further. They need to survive during the social distancing in an ambient of food insecurity pointed by international institutions, and due to this matter, Venezuelans have been included in their food assistance programs. Under this perspective, this revision article pretends to study the relation between COVID-19 and nutrition, and also present some recommendations given by international organizations and adapting them to the Venezuelan reality. It was used a documental revision using the descriptors: feeding, nutrition, COVID-19, new coronavirus, feeding insecurity, Venezuela. It was used the combination of Boolean indicators to make the research more effective. Once getting the information, it was analyzed and reflected in different sections of this research. It is concluded that in the face of food insecurity suffered by the Venezuelan people and the COVID-19 arrived, results really need the urgent care of the venezuelan collectivity through nutritional alternatives such as popular dining rooms, improving the periodicity and quantity of the national food help, delivery of nutritional supplements to vulnerable populations or those at nutritional risk, among other actions that could avoid an upturn of malnutrition in the country. | |
