La función de búsqueda y emparejamiento en el mercado laboral mexicano 2009 - 2015

Abstract

En este trabajo se realiza un análisis del modelo de búsqueda y emparejamiento del mercado laboral mexicano. El modelo se estima mediante un proceso aleatorio y de datos agregados nacionales, empleando los datos registrados mensualmente en el Servicio Nacional de Empleo como base para obtener las elasticidades del número de vacantes y número de desempleados que fueron usadas como variables exógenas al número de contrataciones. Se realiza la estimación de la función search and matching, que permite tomar las heterogeneidades y estimar los emparejamientos retomando el comportamiento de datos históricos, encontrando que el mercado laboral mexicano muestra rendimientos constantes a escala, lo que coincide con diferentes estudios previos para otros países.

In this paper an analysis of the search and matching model of the Mexican labor market is performed, the model is estimated through a random process and aggregate national data, using the data recorded monthly in the National Employment Service as a basis to obtain the elasticities about number of vacancies and number of unemployed that were used as exogenous variables to the number of hirings. The search and matching function is estimated, which allows us to take heterogeneities and estimate the pairings by retaking the behavior of historical data, finding that the Mexican labor market shows constant returns to scale, which coincides with different previous studies for other countries.
