Moodle un Entorno Virtual de Aprendizaje que promueve el trabajo autónomo y el pensamiento crítico

Abstract
La pandemia del COVID-19 obligó a las Instituciones de Educación Superior a optar por nuevos escenarios de aprendizaje en donde se incluyen herramientas tecnológicas como Moodle. El objetivo de la investigación fue evidenciar cómo el Entorno Virtual de Aprendizaje Moodle aporta al desarrollo del trabajo autónomo y el pensamiento crítico del estudiante. Se realizó la búsqueda de los términos de las variables del estudio en cinco bases de datos (BD) considerando publicaciones de los últimos cinco años, para determinar el número de investigaciones significativas al estudio. Se encontraron 980 trabajos sobre el tema, que fueron sometidas a criterios de selección y extracción de información quedando solo 27 artículos para ser analizados bajo la metodología PRISMA; concluyendo que la plataforma Moodle proporciona herramientas que permiten el desarrollo del trabajo autónomo de los estudiantes y que puede fomentar habilidades del pensamiento crítico que deben ser incorporadas al proceso educativo.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced Higher Education Institutions to opt for new learning scenarios, including technological tools such as Moodle. The research objective was to demonstrate how the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment contributes to the development of autonomous work and the student's critical thinking. The terms of the study variables were searched in five databases (DB) considering publications from the last five years, to determine the number of investigations significant to the study. 980 papers on the subject were found, which were subjected to selection and information extraction criteria, leaving only 27 articles to be analyzed under the PRISMA methodology; concluding that the Moodle platform provides tools that allow the development of autonomous student work and that it can foster critical thinking skills that must be incorporated into the educational process.
