The lips are essential components in facial aesthetics and symmetry, but factors such as the patient’s age, sex and population group can compromise the lip region affecting the balance between facial proportions. Currently, there is a tendency to search for non-invasive methods, as well as safe biomaterials with more natural results to provide a better appearance to the lip region. In this study, the behavior of plasma gel and plasma gel combined with silicon in bioplasty, lip contouring and nasolabial fold vectorization in patients with microcheilia due to aging was determined. An open trial with quantitative approach, descriptive scope and pre-experimental pre-testpost-test design was performed with a single group formed by ten Glogau II female patients with microcheilia due to aging. Variations in clinical and ultrasound measurements of plasma gel and combined plasma gel were recorded at preoperative, immediate, 8 and 45 days. For quantitative variables following a normal distribution, Student’s T-test was performed. Clinically there was an increase in lip volume and a decrease in the depth of the SNGs immediately after the application of the biomaterial, at 8 days there was a decrease in lip volume and an increase in the depth of the nasolabial folds; however, the effect of the biomaterial was maintained and at 45 days there was total loss clinically and ultrasonographic. The plasma gel as a biomaterial of compensation or lip and nasolabial fold filling is effective immediately after its application, being ultrasonographic visible 8 days after implantation, while at 45 days it is imperceptible both clinically and ultrasonographic in all the cases evaluated.
