Abstract
Soil salt components were studied near the community of Aygachi under two different agricultural Systems: raised fields or suka kollus and traditional pampa cultivation, at the beginning and end of a production season, and with different amounts of applied organic fertilizer. Extractable, soluble and exchangeable cations were differentiated. Important differences were detected in the salt composition of raised fields and pampa. In both systems, total amounts of sodium and potassium tended to increase between the beginning and the end of the production season. Different amounts of dung applied did not have a significant effect on salinity.
