Abstract
This paper is concerned with the use Aquinas makes of the Aristotelian theory of the first principles within the practical domain. The author tries to show how Aquinas connects such a theory with both Stoic and Christian idea of natural law. So, he is able to read the Nicomachean Ethics' text on natural justice in a different and very original way.
