This is a case study of a baby, son of professional readers, whose mother read to him since he was 10 months of age and propitiated in a sustained way situations of dialogic reading. Under the qualitative paradigms, within the frame the ethnographic case study, data was recollected through video and text records and it was determined that the mother used reading strategies with the baby like: making onomatopoeic sounds, naming objects and characters, making questions, among others. The little boy deployed an evolutive process behavior: skills in book manipulation, mimicry of reading habits, increase lexicon, syntactic complexity, among others.
