Indicadores de efectividad del programa de alimentación escolar en escuelas primarias de la parroquia matriz Trujillo-Venezuela

Abstract

The school feeding program is based on providing quality food that meets the nutritional needs of the school, in the town Trujillo is represented by School Food Program (PAE), State National. In order to assess the implementation of this feeding program in primary schools Matrix parish, a field study, descriptive, cross-sectional, the study population consisted of teachers students of Bolivarian Schools held recreation and Rosario Almarza used for data collection in each school a scale of assessment for the checklist that was to consider statements. Based on the diagnosis data cataloging indicators of effectiveness as acceptable condition management more than 50% a questionnaire to evaluate knowledge on guidelines nutrition as well as determination of height weight of school they were built to meet the nutritional status whose result was 75% positive answers, acceptable level of knowledge about the program nutrition. The application of distribution curves for height weight formula or Quetelet index, allowed detected in Rosario Almarza 9% overweight in school children 9-11 years 7% in the Recreation 12-14, the questionnaire reported that in these schools has a proper administration of the SAP sufficient knowledge about their guidelines.
