This article describes the relation between anxiety and mood disorders with another variable that has been identified by Michael Dugas as Intolerance of Uncertainty. The model proposed by Dugas shows the participation of some cognitive variables, like intolerance of uncertainty in the determination of anxiety and mood disorders. A sample of 131 students was assessed in the three variables using a correlation design. Results are similar to those gotten by Dugas, finding a moderate correlation between the variables. In addition, 100% of the adolescents showed symptoms of anxiety, 30,8% reached moderate degree and 69,2% got high degree. Also, 98,5% of them were highly intolerant to the uncertainty and 1,5% showed extremely intolerant to the uncertainty. These findings are discussed giving support to the model of Michael Dugas and each variable gives important information by itself.
