| dc.description.abstract | Teacher training is a recurring theme in discussions of improvements in education. Training teachers well is an important step towards building a quality education. But what does it mean to train? With the intention of answering that question, this article proposes a genealogy of the concept of training in order to reflect on it in the educational context. We conclude that, currently, both the concept and the teaching training practice lack a broader meaning than that inherited by technical rationality. | |
