Pasado, presente y futuro de los partidos étnicos en Bolivia

Abstract

El surgimiento de partidos étnicos en Bolivia responde a un interés revisionista del Estado republicano, buscando tanto dar una voz al sujeto indígena como representar políticamente sus reivindicaciones largamente aplazadas. Se han ensayado ya definiciones claras sobre lo que son los partidos étnicos, incluso en el ámbito latinoamericano. Este trabajo pretende aportar en el tema a propósito del caso boliviano, poniendo especial énfasis en el rol hegemónico que el Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) ejerce con respecto al sistema de partidos actual. Sin profundizar demasiado, se plantean consideraciones a modo de pistas de análisis que investigaciones sucesivas podrían confirmar o descartar.

the emergence of ethnic political parties is due to an interest of reviewing the Republican State and attempting to give a voice to the indigenous subject or to politically represent their long-term postponed demands. there have already been attempts to clarify a definition on ethnic parties, even in the Latin-American studies field. this paper pretends to contribute on the Bolivian case, emphasizing the hegemonic role played by Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS) in relation to the current political parties system. Without intending an inepth study, considerations are given as basic clues that following investigations could either confirm or discard.
