dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we discuss a systematic way, part of the information contained in historiographical texts published in Spain in the early nineteenth century in relation to the school population, local available, teachers, some of the texts used and certain features present in its production and circulation, plus some contemporary descriptions of the time on the practice of teaching and learning about history in nineteenth century Spain. This has established an approach to referential framework within which conducted its work socio small group of historians and the professionalization and institutionalization of Spanish historiography was conceived.
