El ecoturismo a nivel local y el aprovechamiento del recurso vegetación

Abstract

El propósito de la investigación fue diagnosticar la gestión del ecoturismo a nivel local y el aprovechamiento del recurso turístico vegetación, en Guamote, Ecuador. El trabajo partió del examen de la información secundaria disponible, el abordaje empírico de la problemática (combinando herramientas de la encuesta y el trabajo grupal) y la proyección de acciones de mitigación. Se obtuvo bajo nivel de conceptualización del ecoturismo entre turistas, comunitarios y agentes turísticos, y todos le confirieron importancia a la actividad, evidenciando concientización sobre la jerarquía de la vegetación en la estructuración del producto ecoturístico. La síntesis de la problemática expuso la no diferenciación del producto en el país, cuya causa raíz en el sistema local fue el insuficiente aprovechamiento del recurso turístico vegetación; sin embargo, en el territorio se identificaron limitaciones físicas, políticas y de mercado para la solución de la problemática, sobre las que se definieron acciones de mitigación.

The purpose of the research was to diagnose the management of ecotourism at the local level and the use of the tourist resource vegetation, in Guamote, Ecuador. The work started from the examination of the secondary information available, the empirical approach to the problem (combining survey tools and group work) and the projection of mitigation actions. A low level of conceptualization of ecotourism was obtained among tourists, community members, and tourist agents, and all of them gave importance to the activity, evidencing awareness of the hierarchy of vegetation in the structuring of the ecotourism product. The synthesis of the problem exposed the non-differentiation of the product in the country, whose root cause in the local system was the insufficient use of the vegetation tourist resource; however, in the territory physical, political and market limitations were identified for the solution of the problem, on which mitigation actions were defined.
