Abstract This study aimed to identify the errors made by tenth-grade students while working on the Pythagorean Theorem and analyze the factors contributing to these errors. The selected sample was the tenth-grade students of Alhosn school in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in the academic year 2022/2023. There were 67 samples of the work done by the students, taken as the object of the research. The data collection used were interviews, questionnaires, and tests. To understand the errors that students can make in the Pythagorean Theorem, these errors have been classified into six categories. The study results revealed that most of the students’ errors were conceptual, data, response, strategy, calculation, and conclusion errors, respectively.
