From a sociolinguistic approach, building aphoristic statements in the written production of digital humans are addressed. The proliferation of aphorisms within social networks is a kind of revival of this practice as an intellectual resource. The article is based on anthropological postulates of Paula Sibilia and language of Cassany and Wittgenstein to analyze the use of aphoristic statements in a modern society with Faustian characteristics; taking as an example the results of a brief written tracking of users who act as authority within microbloggin services like Twitter
