Abstract
The present research has as a general aim to develop didactical strategies for promoting reading in second grade, section “B” students from Escuela Bolivariana located in Capacho, township Libertad, Tachira state. The studio method was researching - action under a qualitative paradigm. For collecting diagnostic data, interview and observation technics were used; an interview handbook for students was designed with twenty two semi-structured questions and field sheet used for taking notes during the observation in classroom. For sampling were chosen twelve students (six male; six female). Diagnostic showed that promotion reading strategies with literary texts are too low, and the few ones used in class belong to traditional methods like loud reading whose purpose are correction of pronunciation or intonation; memorization of poems to tell in cultural activities, and things like that. That’s why a plan was designed with nice activities; some of them focus on loud reading as a promotion strategy; dramatization, hide character, interview to the tale’s character, and more similar. Therefore, this studio aim is to create qualified, autonomous and critical readers of present reality in local, regional and global space.
