Capiro is a world leader in the export of chrysanthemums in maritime containers to destinations in five continents. Capiro has applied engineering to all the links in the chrysanthemum agro chain: obtaining cuttings from mother plants, sowing and confining the cuttings, flower cutting, post-harvest operations, consolidation and logistics traceability. To maintain its leadership, Capiro has identified challenges where engineering will play a crucial role in the future: increasing time in the cold chain, process automation, use of drones and robots for risky operations, traceability and crop planning optimization, among others.
