In Venezuelan law, the environment already has the status of juridical goods, whose legal protection derives from the Constitution of 1999, qualifying it as a Human Right (Chapter IX, Title III). Therefore, this right must be guaranteed to each generation in the form of a safe, healthy, and ecologically balanced environment. The character of the constitutional juridical goods generates significant possibilities in Venezuela for environmental protection. These possibilities must be materialized integrally as a result of environmental policies implemented by the state, and otherwise, as an answer to the citizens demand in defense of their Human Right to an environment that will ensure a good quality of life for all people.
