dc.description.abstractThe present study aimed to promote self-regulated learning of dental students through application KPSI. It is an experimental research conducted in a random sample of 50 students from “Integral Adult Clinic I”, Faculty of Dentistry, University of The Andes. Comprised two groups: Control (C) and Experimental (E). The procedure consisted of: (a) Development and validation of questionnaires KPSI and academic test, (b) application of pre KPSI Group E, (c) teaching of content to groups C and E, (d) application of post KPSI group E, and (e) academic test application to groups C and E. The results show that the group E has a higher academic performance than group C. It was concluded that self-regulation of university student learning through questionnaires KPSI significantly affects their academic performance.
