This article shows the way in which law and power are related in The Republic in Spanish America by Sergio Arboleda. Although the results of the state of the art on the work show that academic literature has concentrated on studying Arboleda's ideas as a racial interpretation of history or based on the problem of imitation, the article claims that studying his ideas from the corporatist perspective is useful to find more relationships between law and power in his way of thinking.
