USOS EDUCATIVOS DE LAS REDES SOCIALES, MÁS ALLÁ DEL INTERCAMBIO DE INFORMACIÓN: PRÁCTICAS DOCENTES Y ESTUDIANTILES PARA LA CONSTRUCCIÓN DE ENTORNOS VIRTUALES DE APRENDIZAJE EN LA UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA BOLIVIANA
Abstract
El presente artículo describe aspectos relevantes del proceso de investigación de carácter cualitativo, sobre la adopción y usos educativos de las redes sociales por parte de docentes y estudiantes universitarios, para la construcción de entornos virtuales de aprendizaje. En este sentido, expone hallazgos del análisis, como la generatividad del aprendizaje y el conocimiento en las redes, el aprovechamiento educativo implícito y explícito en sus usos, desde la construcción de procesos meta-cognitivos; y el régimen de prácticas y actitudes que posibilitan la edificación de entornos virtuales de aprendizaje (EVA) entre los usuarios. El estudio parte del supuesto de que las redes sociales en la actualidad, son requeridas con mayor frecuencia por actores en los procesos de socialización y en su formación educativa. Esta situación es observable en la población de estudiantes y docentes de la Universidad Católica Boliviana, regional Cochabamba, específicamente en la carrera de Comunicación.
This article describes relevant aspects of the qualitative research process, on the adoption and educational uses of social networks by teachers and university students, for the construction of virtual learning environments. In this sense, it exposes findings of the analysis, such as the generativity of learning and knowledge in networks, the implicit and explicit educational use in its uses, from the construction of meta-cognitive processes; and the regime of practices and attitudes that enable the building of virtual learning environments (VLE). The study starts from the assumption that social networks are currently required by actors in socialization processes and in their educational training. This situation is observable in the population of students and teachers of the Bolivian Catholic University of Cochabamba, specifically in the Communication career.
