Summary. Highlanders natives studied at high altitude (La Paz, 3600 m) were compared with europeans studies at sea level (Paris), using physical exercise as a dynamic model for the investigation of hemostatic and coagulation functions. It was concluded that the thrombocytosis found in men living in chronic hypoxia is not due to a particular redistribution of the platelet vascular pool: - that the thrombocytosis and hyperaggregability following a sub maximal exercise depend on an adrenergic mechanism as at sea level. - that the release of factor VIII from the vascular endothelial cell is independent from the liberation of plasminogen activators - that the liberation of F VIII RA and his activation in F. VIII C could be depending in two different hormonal mechanisms which one possibly linked.es
