Abstract
This study measures the job satisfaction of female journalists working in strategic communication or corporate communication in Chile, comparing the results between different geographical and generational groups, specifically between professionals based on the Metropolitan Region and those from the provinces, and between young and seasoned journalists. Using a mixed method which includes surveys and semi-structured interviews, we observed that decision-making freedom, gender equality at work and the generation to which they belong are more important variables than wages and the possibility of promotion in the company to explain the greater or lesser job satisfaction of journalists working in strategic communication.
