dc.description.abstractMaimonides was an acknowledge physician, versed in all sciences and arts of its age. He was born in Cordoba in 1135 and died in Fostat in 1204. Product of it scientific activity he wrote an important number of medical works, ten of which are conserved. in this article, it is doing a sketch upon the Maimonide‘s life, its knowledge on medicine and its position facing on what should be the ethical qualities of the physician.
