dc.description.abstractChronic exposure to altitude has been associated with hypobaric hypoxia in its inhabitants. Two entities have been associated with it, high altitude pulmonary hypertension and chronic mountain sickness. Its physiological and pulmonary circulation characteristics are described, as well as its clinical profile and diagnosis.
