Importancia de la inteligencia emocional en la capacidad profesional de los docentes

Abstract

En el ámbito educativo, la inteligencia emocional (IE) ha ganado relevancia tras las investigaciones de Goleman (1996), destacando su papel crucial en el éxito personal y profesional. Este estudio se propuso identificar la IE y la capacidad profesional de los docentes. Mediante una revisión sistemática utilizando EBSCO, SCOPUS y Google académico, se analizaron 23 artículos científicos previo criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Los resultados revelaron una estrecha relación entre la IE y la capacidad profesional docente, indicando que la formación en este ámbito está en desarrollo. Sin embargo, se concluyó que existe una deficiencia en la IE de los docentes, tanto a nivel básico como superior, señalando la necesidad de fortalecer este aspecto en la formación docente.

In the educational field, emotional intelligence (EI) has gained relevance after Goleman's (1996) research, highlighting its crucial role in personal and professional success. This study set out to identify EI and teachers' professional ability. Through a systematic review using EBSCO, SCOPUS and Google Scholar, 23 scientific articles were analyzed based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results revealed a close relationship between EI and teacher professional capacity, indicating that training in this area is under development. However, it was concluded that there is a deficiency in the EI of teachers, both at the basic and higher levels, indicating the need to strengthen this aspect in teacher training.
