The article deals with the systemic therapeutic model focused on reciprocity applied to couples. It raises the foundations of the systemic approach used: general systems theory, logical types, first and second-order cybernetics, zero-sum and non-zero-sum game theory. Reciprocity as a resource of balance in the closed system of the couple, its origins and foundations, is explained. Identify the types of reciprocity: balanced, negative, and general. It analyzes the passage from change one present in the endless game of conjugal mutuality to change two in the love of bestowal. Presents the principles of the gift theory regarding couple psychotherapy. The application of the model is analyzed from case studies.
