Abstract

The study includes the designing of ACSI scale to measure health professionals attitude toward the patient with AIDS. The instrument was applied to six samples, including physicians, nurses, odontologists, medical students and others professionals. A factor analysis revealed four different dimensions: rejection and discrimination. The study revealed a more consistent negative attitude among odontologists and nurses probably due to the higher risk of contagion present in the clinical activities of these professionals
