Posturas y proposiciones de una "educación propia" a principios del siglo XX: Franz Tamayo y José Carlos Mariátegui

Abstract

El artículo analiza la educación boliviana y peruana a principios del siglo XX, a través de los aportes de Franz Tamayo y José Carlos Mariátegui con respecto a sus planteamientos pedagógicos. También se establecen diferencias y similitudes en lo referido a la educación. En Tamayo, se encuentra la necesidad de forjar la "energía y el carácter nacional" presente en lo indígena, por medio de una educación nacional propia. Mientras que en Mariátegui, la educación necesita un "espíritu nacional" que puede ser mediante una reforma integral de la educación, con énfasis en la enseñanza superior.The article analyzes the Bolivian and Peruvian education in the early twentieth century, through the contributions of Franz Tamayo and José Carlos Mariátegui about their pedagogical approaches. Differences and similarities are also set with regard to education. In Tamayo, it is the need to build the "energy and national character" present in the indigenous, through its own national education. While in Mariátegui, education needs a "national spirit" that can be through a comprehensive reform of education, with emphasis on higher education.
