dc.description.abstractAbstract. Gravitational Water Vortex Power Plant is a type of green technology that is included in the category of micro-hydro power plants. Basin is one component that is very influential on the speed of vortex flow. Vortex basin is a tube used to see vortex phenomena that occur in liquid fluids, with the occurrence of vortex phenomena in a basin that uses a water pump to drain liquid vortex into fluid. The purpose of this design is to design a cylindrical basin with a diameter of 50 cm that determines the working system of the GWVPP tool so that it can be used to observe water flow, torque, turbine power, and electrical power. This cylindrical basin tool is designed with proven data collection in 1 day for 5 hours, producing the highest discharge of 0.82 l / s, the highest torque of 0.000024 Nm, turbine power of 0,00081 watts, and electrical power of 0.87 watts in turbine testing the L 4 blade model, while the highest discharge is 0.90 l / s, the highest torque is 0.000036 Nm, the turbine power is 0.00096 watts, and the electrical power is 1.95 watts in the turbine testing the S 4 blade model.
