Abstract
El COVID-19 puede provocar diversas complicaciones cardiovasculares, incluyendo daño miocárdico, miocarditis, arritmias, y trombosis. El objetivo de este artículo fue determinar la prevalencia de enfermedades cardiovasculares durante el COVID-19 en adultos en el Hospital General Guasmo Sur. Se enmarca dentro del enfoque cuantitativo, el paradigma es positivista y método descriptivo; el diseño utilizado fue el no experimental de corte transversal. La población estudiada incluyó un total de 137 pacientes con problemas cardiacos; Para la recolección de dotas se utilizó la encuesta y el cuestionario. El procesamiento de los datos se realizó mediante el programa de Excel SPSS 21. Los resultados fueron que, el sobrepeso afecta a los pacientes, lo que indica una alta prevalencia. En comparación el tabaquismo y la obesidad. Se concluye que, el análisis de los factores de riesgo asociados a las ECV revela que la hipertensión arterial (HTA) es el principal indicador, con una mayor prevalencia en hombres.
