Veinte años de educación en Bolivia:: dos reformas y algunos temas de investigación social

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es mostrar la relación entre investigaciones sociales, políticas públicas y sociedad civil. En el contexto de las dos reformas educativas de 1994 y de 2010, el autor analiza el desarrollo de los temas abordados en 27 investigaciones publicadas por el PIEB. Argumenta que entre las políticas públicas educativas y la investigación existe una relación difusa y distante, pero no ausente. Las investigaciones que producen datos cuantitativos y cualitativos educativos permiten entrever las condiciones de aplicación de las reformas educativas.

The aim of this article is to show the relationship between social research, public policies and civil society. In the context of the two education reforms launched in 1994 and 2010, the author analyses developments in the issues addressed in 27 research studies published by PIEB. He argues that the relationship between public policies and research on education is tenuous and distant, but not altogether absent. Research that produces quantitative and qualitative data on education offers insights on the conditions in which education reforms are applied.
