Construcciones de sentido sobre violencia de género: El caso del diario argentino Clarín
Abstract
En un contexto internacional en el que la temática de la violencia de género ha sido incluida en la agenda pública y mediática de un modo que podríamos denominar "explosivo", nos inquieta echar luz sobre los sentidos que se construyen al respecto. El rol de los medios resulta significativo dado que contribuyen a fijar ciertos sentidos sobre estos temas como así también, a visibilizarlos u ocultarlos. En Argentina, una serie de normas legales, generadas al calor de un momento histórico de cambios y rupturas, se presentan como un hito. Nos referimos a la ley 26485 "De Protección Integral para prevenir, sancionar, y erradicar la violencia contra las mujeres" y a la Ley 26522 de "Servicios de Comunicación Audiovisual". Las dos normas conforman una importante herramienta para la disputa de poder en la relación entre la violencia de género y los medios de comunicación. Particularmente, en este trabajo buscamos dar cuenta de los sentidos en disputa respecto de la problemática de la violencia de género bajo el tratamiento periodístico que realiza el diario argentino, Clarín. Para acercarnos a responder estas inquietudes apelamos a las herramientas del análisis del discurso.
In an international context, where the thematic of gender violence has been included in the public and media agenda, in a way that we could considered as "explosive", in this article we want to look into the constructions of sense and into the way that they enter in disputation too. We think that the role of the mass media becomes meaningful because they contribute in the fixing of some senses over others. In Argentina has been some new laws that have become a disruption in the topic. We are talking about of National Law 26.485/2009 of "Integral Protection to prevent, punish and eradicate violence againstwomen" and of the National Law 26.522/2009 of "Audiovisual Communication Services". These two legal regulations have become an important instrument for the disputation of power in the relation between gender violence and mass media. Particularly, we analyze the constructions and disputations of sense about violence against women in an Argentina national newspaper: Clarín. We make this research using the method of discourse analysis and gender perspective.
