dc.description.abstractIt was developed in the sectors Vega Down and The Portachuelo parish Cabimbu, Urdaneta municipality of Trujillo state, selecting three demonstration plots, being two cultivated potato surfaces of 0.25 and 0.15 hectares in them attractive traps sticky yellow and blue were installed control of Guatemalan moth Tecia solanivora also another plot planted strawberry with an area of 0.23 ha, installing attractive traps with beer and salt to control slug Vaginulus plebeius was located . The investigation lasted five months, participatory action research methodology was used to design field . The results showed farmers that using attractive traps allowed us to detect the presence and quantity of insects up to four weeks before being displayed damage on plantation also be able to reduce the plot of 0.25 ha, an average fly 65 , 58%, moth 72.45% 69.47% other insects . Furthermore, the use of traps with beer and salt, to producer 0.23ha showed area , it is possible to efficiently decrease the number of slugs, a decrease of 77.14% flies, 70.41% evidenced slugs and 75% of other insects.
