The study analyzes the factors that attract and drive internal migration in young adults of the Sucre municipality, Bolivia, from a relational approach. The results show that the main motivations for migrating are related to socio-economic factors such as better job opportunities, educational opportunities, and higher salaries in the destination locations. Likewise, the adverse conditions in the place of origin, such as the lack of basic services, inadequate infrastructure, insecurity, and political problems, are determining factors for internal displacement. Other factors such as environmental degradation and family networks also significantly influence migration decisions. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the internal migratory phenomenon and offers key inputs for the formulation of public policies aimed at improving socio-economic conditions and reducing regional inequalities.
