| dc.description.abstract | In this paper we explore the possibility of producing iodine isotopes, with a low-medium energy electron, to be used for medical therapy. The analysis of the spectrum of the emitted radiation suggests that the cyclotron produced 1261 may be used to substitute the nuclear reactor produced 1311. One of die advantages of 1261 is that the caracteristic gamma emission makes it easier to monitor with SPECT techniques.
