This exhibition, thanks to the staff of the Polar Foundation, the CIAAL and the Instituto Merideno de Cultura of the Government of Merida State, was opened for two months as part of the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of CIAAL-ULA. After a similar stay in Caracas, 126 facsimiles –selected from more than 670 pioneer brands of Venezuelan food industry in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries– were exposed. It was another way to bring Venezuelans to historical knowledge of their industry and the pioneering food brands marketed in past centuries in the country.
