Surgical procedures in glaucoma: A preferred practice pattern report by the Latin American Glaucoma Society.

Abstract

Among specialists of the Latin American Glaucoma Society, trabeculectomy and glaucoma drainage devices remain the most commonly performed surgical procedures. Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery is primarily used in combination with cataract surgery, while ciliary body laser procedures are generally reserved for cases of previous glaucoma drainage device failure or as an initial option for newly diagnosed glaucoma cases.
