Fugacidad y perennidad simbólica en el imaginario festivo andino

Abstract

A partir de los resultados de una investigación de campo en La Cordillera de Mérida, Venezuela, como antecedente, se intenta interpretar algunos cambios y singularidades en los imaginarios de la fiesta andina en la trama femenina, a partir de tres coordenadas: a) Un contexto de Anomia. La fiesta como desborde de las pasiones humanas dentro de un ambiente geográfico pacífico y de gran belleza natural de una nación cuya población sufre condiciones de anomia social, entendida como el difícil tránsito de un tipo de sociedad que se degrada, a otra que le sucede con la misma continuidad, pero que no ha tomado forma todavía. b) La fiesta como un acontecimiento simbólico que permite hacer aparecer lo inefable, por lo que es preciso revisar la función simbólica en el proceso de interpretación de los imaginarios. Según Cassirer, es propio del hombre interpretar la cosa apenas esta entra en relación con él, y lo hace de distintas maneras (a través del signo, de la alegoría, del símbolo). Y, por otro lado, más que del significado, hay que preguntarse por el sentido inalcanzable; el límite de lo humano; como una dimensión del antrhropos en el proceso de organizar el mundo y producir su cultura. c) La temporalidad. Si la fiesta es un acontecimiento simbólico, toma una temporalidad propia que le permite subvertir el orden haciendo ruptura con el tiempo histórico lineal y con la oposición binaria sagrado-profano de la cultura. una temporalidad de permanente oscilación y conversión en un presente continuo.

Based on the results of a field investigation in the Cordillera de Mérida, Venezuela, an attempt is made to interpret some changes and singularities in the imaginaries of the Andean festival in the female plot, from three coordinates: a) Anomie. The party as an overflow of human passions within a peaceful geographical environment and great natural beauty of a nation whose population suffers from conditions of social anomie, is understood as the difficult transition from a type of society that is degrading, to another that follows it. with the same continuity, but which has not yet taken shape b) The symbol. The party is a symbolic event that allows the ineffable to appear, so it is necessary to review the symbolic function in the process of interpreting imaginaries. According to Cassirer, it is proper for man to interpret the thing as soon as it enters into relationship with him, and he does it in different ways (through the sign, the allegory, the symbol). And, on the other hand, more than the meaning, one must wonder about the unattainable meaning; the limit of the human; as a dimension of the anthropos in the process of organizing the world and producing its culture. c) Temporality. If the festival is a symbolic event, it takes on its own temporality that allows it to subvert the order, breaking with linear historical time and with the sacred-profane binary opposition of culture. Or a temporality of permanent oscillation and conversion in a continuous present.
