Parques científicos y tecnológicos en Brasil: caracterización

Abstract

This study aims to perform a characterization of science and technology parks (STP) inBrazil. We started with the creation of a directory STP of Brazil on the information available at thewebsites of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) and the National Associationof Entities Promoting Innovative Enterprises (Anprotec) in Brazil. Subsequently, we centralizein a database the information gathered through the application of digital satellite survey toa sample of STP. We performed a characterization of Brazilian STP by descriptive statisticalanalysis on individual considerations. In summary, we bring an overview for STP Brazil, thisdescription is some preliminary fi ndings on the basis of centralized information to January 2014,and constitute a contribution to the competent organizations in the design of public policiesaimed at promoting and strengthening STP in this country.
