dc.description.abstractThe right to food is an achievement of international consensus on the evolution of Human Rights. From this recognition, supranationality and governments they have made efforts to design policies, plans, programs and projects that contribute to consolidate the system of the Food and Nutrition Security. Venezuelan food policy has been framed in an economic model that has transformed political institutions and system performance. The objective of this article is to analyze food and nutritional security in Venezuela, from the perspective of people’s capacities for the achievement of well-being and human development.
