Mioma Uterino Gigante Multilobulado: presentación inusual. Reporte de caso

dc.description.abstractThe uterine myomas are benign tumors of muscular smooth cells estrogen dependent, which malignant degeneracy is rare, having a greater impact on black women, women without birth. There is brought a case of a patient of 47-year-old, who presents pelvic pain of moderate intensity and abnormal genital bleeding, to the anamnesis it appreciates morbid condition of a year of evolution, increase of abdominal volume and affectation of the evacuation pattern. To the physical examination it observes an abdomen increased of size with a tumor in right hemiabdomen, unlasted, without adenopathy, it is managed with presumptive diagnosis of uterine miomatosis. Imaging studies are performed that support the initial diagnosis. It is taken to surgery where uterus is extracted by giant encased tumor, lobed with three nodular formations of subserous location, of the following sizes: big 30x24x10cm, medium it measures 20x16x7cm and that of minor size measures 10x8.5x4cm and one pelvic left tumor with a nodular formation of tissue, which measures 9x7x3cm. The patient after the surgical act presents a favorable evolution by what his medical discharge is indicated. Nowadays advances in diagnostic imaging methods make this type of pathology identified in its early stages, from there the rarity of finding cases like the present in daily practice.
