Abstract
Los efectos de la Primera Guerra Mundial y la crisis de los años 20 estimularon la inversión productiva y el crecimiento del sector industrial en Bolivia a inicios del siglo XX. La iniciativa privada apuntaló nuevos e importantes emprendimientos. A partir del Plan Bohan, el desarrollo productivo diversificado adquirió protagonismo en la agenda de la política pública en el país, con acciones que promovieron la integración del oriente, la diversificación de la producción agrícola y el desarrollo industrial. En este articuló se identifican y analizan los momentos relevantes de este proceso.
The effects of the First World War and the crisis of the 1920s stimulated investment in production and the growth of industry in Bolivia at the start of the 2Oth century, when private initiative supported important new enterprises. With the Bohan Plan, the development of a diversified productive sector gained prominence in the country's public policy agenda, with actions to promote the integration of the Eastern lowlands, diversify farming and develop industry. This article identifies and analyses relevant moments in this process.
