Abstract
Este estudio aborda la relación entre las competencias investigativas y la conciencia ambiental de los docentes de educación secundaria. El objetivo fue determinar la incidencia de las competencias investigativas en la conciencia ambiental de estos docentes. Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental y un nivel correlacional causal. La población del estudio consistió en 450 docentes de educación secundaria, de los cuales se seleccionó una muestra de 208. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y los instrumentos fueron cuestionarios. Los resultados mostraron que las competencias investigativas tienen una incidencia significativa en la conciencia ambiental, con un Pseudo R² de Nagelkerke de 0.719, indicando que el 71.9% de la variabilidad en la conciencia ambiental puede explicarse por las competencias investigativas. Además, la dimensión de comunicación y divulgación de los resultados científicos presentó un valor de Wald de 188.691 y p < 0.05, evidenciando su impacto en la conciencia ambiental. Se concluyó que existe una incidencia significativa de las competencias investigativas en la conciencia ambiental de los docentes de educación secundaria.
This study addresses the relationship between research competencies and environmental awareness of secondary school teachers.
