Conciencia ambiental en la responsabilidad social universitaria

Abstract
La conciencia ambiental es la capacidad del individuo de reconocer la importancia de los elementos esenciales que presenta el mundo que lo rodea para conservar, cuidar y mejorar el medioambiente con conductas ambientales desde el activismo y la educación. El objetivo del estudio fue establecer la influencia de la conciencia ambiental en la responsabilidad social universitaria en estudiantes universitarios. El tipo de investigación fue básica de nivel explicativo, de diseño no experimental, transversal correlacional causal. La población estuvo conformada por 975 estudiantes de una universidad pública, la muestra fue de 276 estudiantes y el muestreo probabilístico. La confiabilidad de instrumentos a través del Alfa de Cronbach fue de .987 para el instrumento de conciencia ambiental y 0.896 para la responsabilidad social. Los resultados demostraron que la conciencia ambiental influye significativamente con 99.4% en la responsabilidad social universitaria. Se concluye que la conciencia ambiental impacta en el desarrollo de óptimas conductas proambientales responsables.
Environmental awareness is the individual's ability to recognize the importance of the essential elements of the world around him/her in order to conserve, care for, and improve the environment with environmental behaviors through activism and education. The objective of the study was to establish the influence of environmental awareness on university social responsibility in university students. The type of research was basic, explanatory level, non-experimental, cross-sectional correlational causal design. The population consisted of 975 students from a public university, the sample consisted of 276 students and the sampling was probabilistic. The reliability of instruments through Cronbach's alpha was .987 for the environmental awareness instrument and 0.896 for social responsibility. The results showed that environmental awareness significantly influences university social responsibility with 99.4%. It is concluded that environmental awareness has an impact on the development of optimal responsible pro-environmental behaviors.
