Helenismo y hebraísmo en Jorge Luis Borges

Abstract

El trabajo, partiendo de la descripcion y valoracion de las dos grandes tradiciones que marcan su inflexion en la obra de Jorge Luis Borges, la tradicion helenica (destacando la teoria del tiempo heracliteano, la nocion cretense de laberinto, la figura paradigmatica de Homero, las aporias eliaticas, etc.) y la tradicion hebraica (la concepcion de la escritura y de la letra, la nocion laberintica de la arena y el desierto, etc.), se propone senalar la confluencia de las dos tradiciones generando una problematica de la phone y la graphia, como propuesta estetica y como propuesta de cultura. Abstract This paper, considering the description and valuation of the two traditions that mark the inflection in Jorge Luis Borges’ work, the Hellenic tradition (emphasizing Heraclit’s theory of time, the Cretan’s notion labyrinth, the paradigmatic figure of Homer, the Eleatic ;aporiae;, etc) and the Hebraic tradition (the conception of writing and letter, the labyrinthine notion of sand and desert, etc.), is intended to point out the confluence of two traditions, and to generate the conflict between the phone and the graphia as both, esthetic and cultural proposals
